CWA Native Woods Project Officer

The Community Woodlands Association is seeking a dynamic and creative professional to deliver a new project showcasing the economic and social benefits of community management of native woods.

The Native Woods Project Officer will work with four community woodland groups in Argyll and Highland to identify and where possible quantify the economic and social benefits of their current and planned activities and projects. The NWPO will co-produce, with members & employees of the community woodland groups, a suite of case studies to illustrate the many and varied benefits of community management.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with community asset-based groups and delivering, reporting and presenting academic research. They will be innovative, resilient and self-motivated, and able to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts.

The post-holder will work from home (computer facilities provided if required), with travel (e.g. site visits to community woods) as necessary.

CWA is open to proposals for secondment from other organisations.
