CWA Central Scotland Networking Event - South Queensferry 26 March - CANCELLED
Update - 17 March 2020. Given the current public health situation we have decided to cancel this event. Hopefully we will be able to rearrange it for later in the year.
Our third Networking Day for anyone involved in community woodlands across the central belt will be held in South Queensferry on Thursday March 26 between 10am and 3.30pm. We are very grateful to Scottish Forestry for their support of this event. Booking is free - download the form here - and we can support travel costs for delegates from community woodland groups.
This event is an opportunity for representatives from woodland groups (and aspiring woodland groups) across the central belt to get together with others with similar ambitions, to share experiences and make new connections. The programme will include a morning, indoor session at Port Edgar Watersports comprising presentations by support organisations and short talks from a range of individual groups keen to tell their story and relate experiences from particular projects. After lunch, our hosts the Vat Run will describe their work with the community payback team and corporate volunteers and take us around their woods which feature cycle trails, a mountain bike pump track, learning space and a wildlife area with a pond.
NB We're obviously very aware of the global health situation and that potentially we may have to call off the event but at the moment we're taking an optimistic view!
