Kinlochleven Community Trust: Health & Well-being Project Officer (part time)

Kinlochleven Community Trust have received funding for a new project ‘Bridging the Gap’ through the HTSI administered Highland Mental Health and Well-being Fund. This project aims to improve health and well-being by providing opportunities for participation in outdoor nature-based initiatives and programmes. The Trust is seeking a Health and Well-being Project Officer to work part time over a 12 month period.

Key priorities will involve:

  • Encouraging and enabling participation in outdoor green health activities and initiatives that improve the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of Kinlochleven residents.

  • Developing the Trust’s signposting abilities by creating strong partnerships with key agencies, stake holders and other community organisations to ensure connectivity across Lochaber.

  • Coordinating the implementation, development and evaluation of robust and high-quality health and well-being provision in the form of Green Health prescription and referral pathways with partners and work with individually with those participating in the initiative.

  • Supporting the creation of an in-house health and well-being training programme for practitioners, staff and volunteers.
