Effective Governance for Community Woodlands - Online Workshop, 1 December 10.00-12.30

The Community Woodlands Association is hosting a free online workshop designed to support Directors / Trustees of community woodland groups to run their organisations efficiently, effectively and responsibly using principles and processes of good governance.

The workshop will be led by James Hilder, Director of Sunart Community Company and former CEO of Mull and Iona Community Trust.

Topics covered will include:

  • Understanding legal responsibilities;

  • Ensuring boards are representative of their communities;

  • Recruitment & induction processes for new board members;

  • Managing and supporting staff.

The event will run from 10.00 - 12.30 (including a comfort break!)
